The Shoremen looked pretty good in their first tuneup of the preseason. The first unit put up about 200 yards of offense in their 20 plays. QB Pete Hart had one pass picked off but made up for that when he hit Ryan Kirkpatrick for a 70 yard scoring strike. The running game looked efficient and the Shoremen offensive line was dominant. On defense, Avon Lake gave up a couple of medium range passes in the first series but then the secondary clamped down. Midview’s running game was completely throttled by a very athletic Shoremen defensive front.
