Last Tuesday night Dave Rehker showcased his versatility on national TV in Miami's 23-16 victory over Toledo. Normally the starting left guard for the Redhawks, Dave moved over to center to fill in for injured starter Todd Londot. Running back Luke Clemens scored the winning TD right behind Big Dave's block as the Redhawks moved to 6-3 overall, 5-1 in the MAC. Miami is in a three-way tie for the MAC East lead with Marshall and Akron.
In other action Saturday:
- Zach Lewis caught 3 passes for 57 yards and John Ramsier had a four tackles, but Oberlin still couldn't break into the win column as the Yeomen dropped a 24-14 decision to Ohio Wesleyan.
- Starting offensive tackle Jason Schroeder closed out his college career for Ashland in the Eagles' 24-21 loss to Indianapolis.
- Jesse Cole returned to action on Florida State's special team after missing their last game with a sprained ankle suffered against Syracuse. The Seminoles defeated Duke 29-7
- Baldwin Wallace's season, so promising just a few short weeks ago, has headed south in a hurry. After a 6-0 start, the Yellow Jackets have dropped three straight, including a dismal 26-0 loss to Marietta on Saturday. Derek Fabry contributed two tackles for BW.
